‘The Old Dairy’ is set in the heart of the Welsh countryside with outstanding natural scenery in every direction. Built in the early 1900’s by the Lord and Lady Lisbon as a milking house for their herd of cattle, the building has a history and character like no other.

The grade 2 listed building has been lovingly converted over the past two years with many original features still present. The cottages provide a very unique opportunity to experience an unforgettable vacation.

Both the ‘Hawthorne’ and ‘Chestnut’ cottages are cosy yet spacious over two floors, where modern design and furnishings complement antique surroundings. Each cottage has access to its own private patio area with table and chairs, ideal for revelling in the peace and quite of the grounds. There is ample space for 3 cars outside each cottage.

Set in the grounds of the Trawsgoed Mansion in Trawsgoed The Old Dairy benefits from extensive local bridleways, footpaths and cycle paths (we are located on the Ystwyth Trail long distance cycle path) that are excellent for exploring the scenic local area. Whether you are looking for a romantic walk, quality horse riding or cycling, the local surroundings has much to offer.

We are located seven miles away from the historical yet cosmopolitan Aberystwyth. With its’ Iron age fort the Welsh National Library as well as the 150 year old pier and the oldest University in Wales, Aberystwyth has something for everyone. For the more energetic we are 30 miles from the outstanding Snowdonia National Park containing Wales‘ highest mountain ‘Snowdon‘. Perfect for the keen hill walker or amateur climber. If that all seems to much you can even catch a train to the top of Snowdon
